At the kids' school, they earn a "AR Hat" (Advanced Reading) when they reach a certain goal. Kate earned hers last week. So proud of our little reader! She has advanced so much this year in her reading and writing.
Our little neighbor, Chris, earned his hat the same day.
Carter was able to join us in the library for Kate's special day. The principal presents the hats during the school's morning announcements which are televised to the rest of the school.
It was 8 am so Eli and Lydia were literally taken right out of bed and straight to the school. They're still a little sleepy.
Then all the first graders lined up in the hall and cheered for their classmates. So cute.
