The last day of school arrived today! Carter and Kate finished the year off with flying colors. We are so proud of them. They both got straight A's all year and Carter got "Exceeds Expectations" in all categories of the standardized testing he took in April.
Kate started the year having come from Kindergarten in NH which was 2 1/2 hours of exploring and fun time. This was fine and actually probably what Kindergarten should be. However, when we arrived here in GA she was expected to be able to read and write a lot more than she could. We are so proud of her willingness to jump in and play "catch up." Not only that but she improved from reading at below her grade level to currently being at a 3rd grade reading level.
So grateful for our hard-working little smarty pants!

That is such a cute sign! Congratulations to both of them! They have so man talents and abilities. You are rightly very proud of them - they should be very proud of themselves too! I hope they really, really are!
Sounds like a well deserved summer break for a couple of hard working academic wiz kids. Great Job!
